Stone cottage with a green door and a courtyard garden of pink and white flowers

Holiday Lets Cairngorms Guests Can Call Home

Balneden Steading has three holiday lets in one converted farm steading, in the Glenlivet Estate within the Cairngorms National Park. The Mill and The Grain Store each sleep four, and The Cattle Shed sleeps two, so you can come as a couple, a family or a bigger group across two or three cottages.

We think you'll sleep well here. The beds have naturally upholstered, deep pocket-sprung mattresses, a choice of firm, soft and hypoallergenic pillows and light, warm wool duvets, all wrapped in organic, Fairtrade cotton.

Travelling with little ones? A travel cot, high chair and baby bath can be provided in The Mill and The Grain Store on request.

Looking After Balneden

Balneden is a special place for people and wildlife, and we want to keep it that way. We're gradually adding more habitats and plant varieties around the grounds, so more birds and animals can find a home here, and our guests have more chances to see them.

Each cottage has an EPC C rating, with good insulation, double glazing, LED lighting and room-by-room thermostats. We use eco-friendly cleaning products, choose Fairtrade where we can, and our water comes from a protected spring on the hill, filtered and UV treated.

For every booking, we donate £1 to the Cairngorms Trust.
